Industry Supporter

  • Industry Supporters are the music organizations who will share their job postings as well as professional development programming for amplification to YMP membership.

    Industry Supporter logos appear on the home page of the YMP website.

Partner

Who: Organizations interested in sponsoring YMP operations or events

  • YMP is seeking partners for in-person networking events across the country. Keystone to network-building for young professionals is providing access to face time with industry leaders. You can help make that happen!

    As a volunteer-run organization, YMP is additionally seeking partnership to support its member portal and other operations.

Mentor

Who: Music industry or business leaders over 35
What: Provide direct mentorship to YMP member(s)
How much time: Flexible; minimum 1 hour/month

  • Mentorship makes careers in music. We are looking for those interested in mentoring young professionals on:

    - General career trajectory in the music industry

    - Board and governance

    - Leadership development

    - Financial management

    - Skilled trades and professions (sound, light, accounting, legal, etc.)

    - Not-for-profit leadership

Board or Committee Member

Who: YMP members; industry leaders
What: Help guide & govern YMP
How much time: Estimated 2-5 hours/month

  • The YMP Board of Directors will have elections every year at the Annual General Meeting. If you are interested in board work with YMP, please email here with a bit about you.

    YMP Committees may be struck based on emerging need or on an ongoing basis. Committees can be made up of Board Directors or of other volunteers committed to YMP's Mission. If you are interested in committee work, please email here with a bit about your interest.

Ambassador

Who: YMP members
What: Help spread the word about YMP
How much time: Flexible

  • Our Ambassadors are music industry professionals of all ages across the country who support the Mission, Vision, and Values of YMP.

    Ambassadors help us spread the word about YMP and membership to all corners of the country and the industry--through social media and word-of-mouth sharing.

Who: Anyone
What: Host a local YMP get-together
How much time: Varies

  • Get your local YMP members together.

    Gatherings can be anything from YMP members organizing a dinner outing to a label hosting a listening party at their offices.

    Whether professional or social, YMP get-togethers will bring young music industry workers together to network amongst their local peers.
