Young Music Professionals and Revelios announce Strategic Partnership
Young Music Professionals (YMP) is excited to announce its Strategic Partnership with Revelios, a consultancy specializing in human-centered leadership and workplace mental health.
YMP, a network for music business workers aged 35 and under, and Revelios share a dedication to the holistic professional development of the burgeoning music workforce and the next generation of leaders. In alignment with its vision for a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient future for the industry, this Strategic Partnership will help YMP equip its members with the skills and resources to build psychologically safe, innovative, and sustainable workplaces.
In six months of operation, YMP has accrued over 500 members across the country. It hosts in-person events and digital networking to connect members with each other and with industry veterans, publishes a periodical called “Young People Doing Cool Sh*t”, highlighting projects born from or led by young innovators in the music industry, and provides discounts and benefits to enable access for young people. As it continues to grow, YMP is building mentorship and professional development programming, with an emphasis on leadership training and career advancement.
Revelios is a boutique consultancy that helps forward-thinking leaders create psychologically safe workplaces where employees can thrive and perform their best. While Revelios has extensive cross-sector experience, it now focuses on the Canadian music industry, with a mission to nurture future leaders, enhance mental health literacy, and promote the integration of well-being with achieving strategic goals.
“At Revelios, we believe that transforming the culture of the Canadian music workplace begins with providing individuals and organizations with the tools to thrive. Through research, advocacy, and education, we work to develop leadership skills and behaviors that create meaningful, lasting change. This partnership with Young Music Professionals is a valuable opportunity to empower emerging leaders to prioritize mental health, challenge norms, and build a stronger, more inclusive industry,” says Catherine Harrison, President of Revelios.
“We are enthusiastic to work with Revelios to provide our members with holistic, meaningful learning opportunities. In ten years, our music industry may have leadership that is fully trained in creating psychologically safe, yet effective work environments,” says Maddy Oliver, Founder of YMP. “Our partnership with Revelios will further enable us to continue delivering those vital networking opportunities that build careers and catalyze creation.
